Indianapolis, Ind., February 3, 2004 ITW Gemas MAGICCYLINDER® booth is specifically designed for automatic powder coating operations with XTreme Color Change Environments. There has never been anything like it before. Read on to find out what makes it so different!
The MAGICCYLINDERs cabin is constructed of durable plastic in a round-wall design with two optional manual touch-up stations. This configuration minimizes powder accumulation in the booth cabin, thereby facilitating faster changeovers from one color to the next. In fact, ITW Gema has proven that two trained technicians can consistently carry out color changes in under 15 minutes!
Another amazing feature of the MAGICCYLINDER is the seamless design of the interior cabin walls and ductwork. This substantially minimizes the risk of color contamination and makes cleaning and maintenance of the ductwork virtually non-existent. To further reduce cleaning hassles, the advanced mono-cyclone of the MAGICCYLINDER has a built-in sieve that screens out contaminates, making clean-up a snap. The unit also utilizes dense-phase transport technology for improved material handling.
ITW Gema also offers ancillary equipment that can further improve the functionaliChameleon Color Management System. The Chameleon uses PLC intelligence to automate cleaning by pulsing compressed air over the gun exterior and throughout the powder path. This process cleans so effectively that color contamination is virtually a thing of the past!
XTreme Color Change Environments also need the assurance of repeatable results. Coupling ITW Gemas latest technology in automatic gun control, the OptiSystem, with the MAGICCYLINDER makes this a reality. The OptiSystem consists of the OptiGun with integrated cascade power supply, the OptiTronic control unit with high-level diagnostics and unmatched program storage capacity, and the OptiFlow pump that ensures uniform powder delivery for every application. With the OptiSystems individually programmable coating parameters, generating reproducible and uniform coating results at all times is now possible.
ITW Gema continues to be a pioneer in the powder coating industry and a global distributor of superior quality powder coating equipment. As a business unit of the Illinois Tool Works Corporation, ITW Gema operates its North American Headquarters from Indianapolis, Indiana.
