Indianapolis, Ind., April 2005 — The most advanced grouping of powder coating equipment is now available from ITW Gema. The OPTISYSTEM is designed to deliver optimal results every time and features the OPTITRONIC™ control unit, the OPTIFLOW™ pump and the OPTIGUN™ automatic powder gun.
 Each OPTITRONIC control unit is able to store up to 255 coating programs that can be selected for different powder types, part styles, and/or line speeds. This produces the unique repeatability required to acheive better process control, which takes the quesswork out of the application.
The OPTIFLOW pump ensures uniform powder delivery for every application. Color-coded quick disconnects ensure fast removal, reliable fit and easy maintenance. Check valves prevent powder migration into the control unit and, with only two major wear parts, operational costs remain low.
The OPTIGUN automatic powder gun features ITW Gema's integrated cascade power supply, which provides maximum charging at the tip of the gun. Its contoured and sealed body design prevents powder from collecting and entering the internal gun cavity. This eliminates potential voltage and color-change contamination problems. Being compatible with all nozzles and extensions for the EASYSELECT™ manual powder gun, the OPTIGUN is easy to integrate into an existing powder system and simplifies replacement of wear parts.
